WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO 太好玩了。 It’s been a long while since I’ve had such fun. I think this camp was quite a huge success, at least in terms of how much the participants learnt (and their morale throughout the camp).
Looking at the VMC pictures again… that is probably the only chance I will have as a participant to do such crazy things, especially at such an age (and with great brothers). I think it was an excellently organised camp, even if it was physically and mentally taxing (it was expected anyway).
Just hope I’ll be able to do the same, as camp staff in the future. Maybe next/ the following year’s VMC as an Aux, or as an AVSL after army. This year’s VMC seems pretty slack (ok I’ll admit it IS pretty slack)… with about half the batch already falling out by the start of the 3rd day (ok that’s only bout 4 but still 50%). Discipline standards don’t seem that high too, and morale looks pretty low. Oh well, I should blame the weather, and hope they can do better with more encouragement.
As for troop camp, had quite a bit of fun handling the Sec 1s and 2s and watching them improve bit by bit. Though not exactly up to standard, I think their attitudes have improved quite a bit (I like their relatively high morale). Shall see in the next few weeks. Next camp (June?) will probably be more fun (in the literal sense for the participants), but I’ll look forward to higher activity standards too. Or else….
Generally speaking, I just feel this incoming batch of Sec 3s need as much guidance as possible. Maybe not from me (I don’t have the PL/SPL experience mind you all) but from those who know what those (at least) two bars meant. I think I can only push them along the way ahem ahem =p. State of next year’s appointment holders don’t look too bad, lots of undiscovered potential.
