Got the photos here. Once again, password for viewing is “weibin”. Probably best to view in slideshow format – though there are some very corny captions there (nothing to say about them!). Anyway some photos of note:
The tournament venue. Not too breezy, not too cold, possibly warm and smoky, but extremely quiet.
pF(E)NNIGE (163) played by Ricky Purnomo on Table 1, Round 14. This move was the high word for the tournament. Ricky went on to win the tournament with 13 wins and a whopping 452 point average.
Ricky Purnomo in his deciding match against Quek Sim Ho, who finished 5th overall. In order to win the tournament, Ricky needed to win his last game and hope Hubert, who was facing Tony on table 1, lost his last game.. Fortunately (for him, or unfortunately for Hubert) he did just that with a convincing spread of +257, while Hubert narrowly slipped up against Tony by just 30 points.
Autistic kids having fun with their parents and teachers! 🙂
Hubert playing Quek on Table 1. Hubert eked this out with a spread of 5 – both players ended up in the top 5 positions.
The projected view of the board on Table 1, done up using excel (Joshua Sng’s brainchild, boom). Looks handy for future tournaments.
Tony making a statement with his trademark “Yo!” gesture
While Tony has a trademark gesture, Cheah has a trademark… expression?!
