Believe it or not, I found the past few weeks of my life particularly fulfilling.
A decent amount of work (“work” usually implies Mathematics in my context) done, some reading completed (in preparation for the research papers/ studies mostly), research proposals at least halfway finished. Listening to classic tracks ripped from CDs, getting a few from my brother, and learning quite a lot more about music artists, culture and history (admittedly novice compared to a lot of people I know). And above all, the amount of control I have of my life and what’s going around me is much more than satisfactory. All these are good signs in the buildup to the As, however whether this will continue is obviously a problem in itself.
Scrabble-wise, there’s a major tourney coming tomorrow – Millennium Cup. I haven’t done any preparation for it except for playing one or two games daily online; this forces my brain to be active to some extent. Expectations? Not much, I just don’t want to do TOO badly. Top 5 is always a usual aim though I think I should really set my sights higher (something like Top 3) after the recent performances, which I still maintain will not last.
